Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

Two Service Experts centers are making a statement this October with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are each going to paint two of their work vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.

During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be donating 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help end breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans in addition to giving $10 for every furnace tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second year Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to raise funds for this great cause. In 2015, Fras-Air donated over $7,000 to Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, the general manager and one of his workers both lost their mothers to other forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute said that 107,184 women in New Jersey suffered from breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider stated. “While the quantity of cases is actually going down each year, that still leaves a large number of families who are dealing with this disease, and that means there’s an immediate need for research and support.”

Chris Overton, the General Manager for Service Experts of Raleigh, echoed Schneider’s feelings. “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in the state – for men and women.”
